About

Mr. Imran Ahsan is a PhD student at West Virginia University. He earned his Master’s degree in Politics and Government from Illinois State University (ISU). Originally from Bangladesh, he completed both his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Development Studies at the University of Dhaka, where he specialized in Public Policy. In addition to his studies, he was involved in diverse extracurricular activities at the global and local levels. During his academic life at the University of Dhaka, he founded and later became the president of Think Twice and Act Wise (TTAW). TTAW was crowned FIRST PLACE in the Facebook Global Digital Challenge 2017, which Facebook and the US Department of Homeland Security arranged. He participated in a dozen international leadership conferences and workshops in the USA, South Korea, Thailand, Nepal, and India. In addition to his master's at ISU, he is involved in student leadership roles, including treasurer of the Bangladesh Student Association, member of the Academic Senate, the University Service Award Committee, and General Secretary of the Pi Sigma Alpha political Science Chapter of ISU. His research focus is Political Methodology and the Politics of Science and Technology, and his current research agenda focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Government.

In addition to his master's at ISU, he is involved in student leadership roles, including treasurer of the Bangladesh Student Association, member of the Academic Senate, the University Service Award Committee, and General Secretary of the Pi Sigma Alpha political Science Chapter of ISU.
